Mother and daughter team, Appley and Zoe Hoare, are specialist dealers in 18th and 19th century French Country Antiques based in London.
Appley Hoare has always been associated with the visual arts. Working firstly in advertising, then photography, later as a stylist, which led to being the Interior Design Editor on a prominent 'Homes' magazine.
Appley confesses to being obsessed with collecting antiques at an early age and while studying at the Sorbonne in Paris would spend hours scouring the flea markets. It was, therefore, almost inevitable that Appley would open an antique business and has now been dealing in French Country furniture for over fifteen years.
The Appley Hoare website catalogues the stock into six separate categories - making it a quick and easy job for visitors to find the particular items they are interested in. Stock is updated and sold items removed on a weekly basis - so you can be fairly sure you always viewing unsold and fresh stock. Fantastic for sourcing all sorts of objects from lovely weathered buckets to early 20th century French cafe chairs.
